Watch, Discover, Create – Stories of Displacement, Expulsion, and Reconciliation for Children

All around the world, people are forced to flee their homes. Why do they leave, and what are they escaping? Through our picture book cinema and an interactive tour of our permanent exhibition, we introduce children to selected stories of displacement in an age-appropriate way, helping them understand what it means to leave one’s home and start a new life in an unfamiliar place. How does it feel to be a stranger? How do you connect with others and create a new sense of home? 

In the creative drawing session that follows, children can express their impressions and feelings while exploring what "home" means to them through play and creativity. 

For children aged 4 and up, along with their caregivers.
