In his book "The Kabul Peace House", published in 2019, Mark Isaacs presents an extraordinary Afghan peace project: In Kabul, young people created a place that they hoped would enable Afghans to live together peacefully in the future. But the withdrawal of NATO troops from Afghanistan and the return of the Taliban regime destroyed this project. Isaacs speaks to two project participants featured in his book about their displacement and a possible new start in Germany.

The event is part of the International Literature Festival Berlin, in cooperation with the Documentation Centre for Displacement, Expulsion, Reconciliation.
