On this anniversary we will focus on 14 million Germans who were displaced or expelled from the former Eastern territories or from where they had lived as ethnic German minorities in Eastern Europe. They had to leave their homeland under extraordinary conditions. We will take you into the Permanent Exhibition via a phone link and describe for you selected exhibits that illuminate the fate of individuals or families. We attend to the actual experience of loss and the path into an uncertain future.
