Open workshop for adults

Writing workshop: connecting with words

Saturday, 7 September 2024, 2 - 5 pm

Education empowers, encourages and offers hope for a better future! However, for many people, education is not a given. Especially for refugees, who have to build a new life far from home, opportunities for higher education are usually few and far between. In addition, education that has already been acquired is often not recognised.

Prevented and successful learning paths have determined the nature of (forced) migration since people started changing their place of residence for a variety of reasons. In our writing workshop ‘Connecting Words’, we trace learning paths and ‘knowledge’ and the search for it in the exhibition and put the echo of what we have experienced on paper. As always, we have a pen in our hands and an open ear for the texts and stories that arise.

The writing workshop will be held in German, English and Polish, and you can write in any of these languages.

Workshop leaders: Natalie Wasserman and Karolina Kuszyk

A cooperation with the Documentation Centre for Displacement, Expulsion, Reconciliation and the Polish Language Café.
