Filmscreening and discussion: My Father's Diaries
In the middle of the Bosnian War in 1993, Bekir Hasanović traded a gold coin for a camera. He took the pictures together with his improvised crew called Dzon, Ben & Boys. When the director Ado Hasanović found his father's old photos and diary entries decades later, he began to reconstruct how his father survived the Srebrenica genozide. Together with his family, Ado Hasanović begins to decipher not only the tragic story of his family, but also that of an entire people.
